Hi, To remove the float from the PENTAIR Basket, 8 3/8" x 7 7/8" - O.E.M | 85000100, first, take the basket out of the filter or skimmer. Once it’s out, inspect the float for any debris or obstructions. Gently slide the float up and down to see if it moves freely. If it doesn’t, check for any clips or tabs that might be securing it—these can sometimes be tricky to spot. Carefully remove any clips you find. Once the float is detached, you can clean both the basket and the float thoroughly.
